《江干区2008年中考总复习基础题集·英语》根据2006年杭州市九年级学业水平考试要求，结合我区学生的学习现状编写。该书旨在提高九年级学生学业考试的复习效能，进一步加强复习的针对性，特别是对学有困难的学生来说，这是一套知识涵盖面广，基础性强，易于理解和掌握的复习题集。该题集有以下
两大板块组成：
第一部分： 听力部分
听力部分共有五套练习，每套题由“听对话，选择图片”及“听长对话，回答问题”两大题组成。听力材料随附体题后，以方便广大师生使用。
第二部分：综合运用部分
此部分共有六个题型，即：单项填空、完形填空、阅读理解、词语填空、单词拼写和书面表达。篇章的编写，力求题材、体裁的多样性，努力贴近学生（后30%）的现有知识水平，较好地体现了编写意图。每个题型由五套练习组成，答案随附。
本题集的编写得到区大组成员和部分教研组长的大力支持，在此表示感谢。
鉴于新教材的使用及新的中考题型，本题集尚处于进一步完善之中。由于水平所限，加之时间仓促，书中一定存在疏漏和错误，敬请广大师生予以指正。
